about

ELECTRIC HEART's only released album, RANTIN' IN SCRANTON.
Recorded in 2003 at Gianetti's Sound Investment Studio in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Arash Mahdavi on guitar/vocals, Kaveh Mahdavi on drums/percussion, and Chris Hludzik bass.

Teenage angst while growing up in middle of nowhere PA drove the music; heavy drums, melodic bass lines, sterilizing guitar solos punching you in the chest followed by Arash's screaming suddenly into your heart.

Electric Heart was raw, emotional, and off the rails...paying homage to 90's grunge.

The original EP (as seen in the photo) only featured half the songs. However, so much was poured out over the two days recording so here it is. All the music by Electric Heart is original and was recorded live.

---------------------
After the release of Rantin' in Scranton, Arash started writing the second album and began recording his demo. Sadly, he never finished and at age 25, he passed away in his Scranton apartment in 2006.

We love and miss you, Arash.

Arash's melodic voice screaming into your heart, a feeling one can only describe like the late Kurt Cobain and the influences of 90's grunge. ... more
